In my latest exhibition part of “Background: Young Artists Plovdiv 2019” curated by SARIEV gallery, I am again excited by the banality of evil, the household burdens that can kill you (not physically), and all those points and instruments that would serve as tools of labor and purity (or for power and aesthetic cultivation), but in the event that need in weapons is not physical, which is psychological. The main purpose of my exhibition the lovely Danchova house was to achieve maximum contrast between materials and colors, metal elements against wooden Renaissance interior, bright colors, pastel and earth tones of the interior, digital curtains for hand-painted Alafrang and wood carved ceilings. A visual conflict that is more reminiscent of the banal lifestyle of life, an attempt to create opposition and speculate with space.

“BACKGROUND: Young Artists from Plovdiv”, as well as in previous years, will include “Portfolio Day” – a format that provides opportunity to young artists who have applied and were selected to consult their work in dialogue with established artists, gallerists, curators and collectors.
